Manila Water recently held the ceremonial contract signing that signals the commencement of the landmark Novaliches-Balara Aqueduct 4 (NBAQ4) project. The Php5.3B NBAQ4 project, one of the largest water supply infrastructure projects undertaken by Manila Water, entails the construction of a fourth aqueduct from the La Mesa Reservoir to the Balara Treatment Plants (BTP) 1 and 2 to improve the reliability and security of the raw water transmission system.

"With this project, urban poor communities in Taytay, Rizal will have individual water connections from Manila Water and can now escape the recurring burden of unjust, expensive water rates from various people’s organizations."

Manila Water posted a net income growth of 3 percent for the 1st semester of 2017, supported by revenue expansion of 4 percent largely bolstered by its non-Manila concession businesses.

Bringing pride to the Philippines, Laguna Water’s “Portable Toilet Solution (PTS): Sustainable Sanitation for the Base of the Pyramid” has made it to the top 10 and was selected as runner-up in the 2017 Ideas for Action, a global youth competition on innovative ideas for financing and implementing United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), organized by the World Bank Group and the Zicklin Center for Business Ethics Research at the Wharton School.

Manila Water formalized its joint venture agreement with the Calasiao Water District for a 25-year project that will improve and expand the provision of water supply in the municipality of Calasiao in Pangasinan.
