Manila Water intensifies environmental partnerships with LGUs, NGA

Manila Water has taken its Toka Toka environmental advocacy program to the next level by intensifying partnerships and on-ground project fulfillment. Toka Toka is the first and only used water movement in the country that advocates proper management of solid waste and liquid waste to help revive the waterways in Metro Manila by practicing the four ownable acts—solid waste segregation, desludging of septic tanks every five years, connecting households to the sewer line, and educating the community.

Manila Water joins International Coastal Clean-up

East Zone water and used water concessionaire Manila Water joined the local government of Pateros in the recently held International Coastal Cleanup with volunteers from the Bureau of Fire Protection held in Barangays San Pedro Almeda Extension, Sto. Rosario Kaunlaran and Tabacalera in Pateros.

ASEAN delegates visit Manila Water’s inclusive business model

Manila Water Operations Chief Operating Officer Geodino V. Carpio welcomed ASEAN delegates during a visit last September 5 to the Tubig Para Sa Barangay (TPSB - Water for the Community) project in Western Bicutan, Taguig. The TPSB is one of Manila Water’s inclusive business models in addressing access to clean and safe water for low-income communities while at the same time creating solutions to eradicate illegal connections pervasive in informal settlements and are a major cause of water losses.

Manila Water joins PRRC’s ‘Puso Para Sa Ilog Pasig Love Lock’ project

Manila Water joined the Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA) and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) in the recent unveiling of the “Puso Para Sa Ilog Pasig Love Lock Station” organized by the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC). The seven-foot tall love lock station takes after similar tourist attractions in countries like Korea, France, UK and Germany. The partnership between Manila Water and PRRC symbolizes a commitment to bring back Pasig River to its pristine condition.

Taytay Muslim-Christian community gets individual water connections from Manila Water

As one of the highlights of its 20th anniversary, Manila Water recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for its Tubig Para Sa Barangay (TPSB) project for Purok 7 Bayview in Lupang Arenda, Taytay, Rizal. The Php 4 million project will provide individual water connections to over 450 households in the community.
