As the country experiences one of the warmest summers brought about by El Niño, Manila Water ensures adequate water supply to hospitals and schools in its concession area. The water company is currently ensuring uninterrupted water supply to 173 public and 210 private hospitals, as well as to 916 public and 999 private schools in the East Zone of Metro Manila and Rizal Province.

Manila Water Philippine Ventures has put in place its 2024 El Niño mitigation plan to ensure continuity of water supply in its respective service areas as the impact of El Niño continues to be felt in the Philippines aggravated by the rising temperatures due to summer heat

The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS), in coordination with the Local Government of Quezon City (QC-LGU), has given Manila Water the go signal to take over the management of the La Mesa Ecopark in preparation for the celebration of the Philippine Environment Month and World Environment Day in June. 

To help ensure water supply these dry months, Manila Water is gradually increasing its activation of deep wells in the East Zone of Metro Manila and parts of Rizal.
