Manila Water continues to promote gender equality in the workplace, with a majority of women taking on leadership and technical roles. To date, the number of women leaders in its key departments is equal to men and even higher.

Aligned with the celebration of World Water Day, Manila Water Foundation, the social development arm of Manila Water Company, joined the United Nations (UN) 2023 Water Conference last March 22-24. The urgent gathering of world leaders show that water truly unites the world, especially amid climate change. Manila Water Foundation was the only Philippine private organization granted special accreditation to participate in the 2023 UN Water Conference at the UN Headquarters in New York City.

Manila Water continues to invest in infrastructure that will help improve its service to its East Zone concession area. In close coordination with key stakeholders, the company implements major projects to promote water security and service continuity as well as environmental sustainability. To complete these projects, the company needs skillful and competent human resources in the water and wastewater sectors.

Manila Water received three citations anew for its communication programs at the 19th Philippine Quill Awards for 2022. The annual recognition given by the International Association of Business Communicators Philippines recognizes outstanding communication management, research, training and education, and skills programs for the past year.
