Manila Water consortium signs joint venture deal with City of Ilagan Water District
Filipinas Water Holdings, Inc., (Filipinas Water) a consortium of Manila Water Company Inc. and its wholly-owned subsidiary Manila Water Philippine Ventures, inks a partnership deal with the City of Ilagan Water District to implement the development, construction, operation, and maintenance of bulk water supply with system expansion and septage management project for the water district operating in the City of Ilagan in the province of Isabela.
Manila Water Philippine Ventures forges partnership with TPGI for another Pangasinan water project
Following its recent foray in Calasiao and San Fabian, both in the province of Pangasinan, Manila Water Philippine Ventures, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Manila Water Company, Inc., continues to expand its presence in the province as it recently signed and executed a Joint Venture Agreement with Tubig Pilipinas Group, Inc. (TPGI) for a water supply project that will benefit the municipality of Malasiqui.
Laguna Water now provides desludging services
Besides providing reliable and potable water supply 24/7, Laguna Water recently expanded its services to include desludging or used water siphoning services for its customers.
Manila Water posts P4.9 Billion Net Income in Q3
Manila Water maintained positive net income growth from the previous year to reach P4.9 billion, driven by the steady performance of the Manila Concession and supported by Manila Water Asia Pacific (MWAP). On a consolidated level, Manila Water posted billed volume growth of 4%, led by the Manila Concession and international subsidiaries under Manila Water Asia Pacific. Said growth significantly offset the relatively flatter billed volume trajectory in the local subsidiaries under Manila Water Philippine Ventures. Cost pressures have increased with the current economic environment as well as necessary operational and growth initiatives, with cost of services and operating expenses growing by 21 percent to P5.94 billion.
