Calbayog Water boosts protected area with planting of hundreds of tree seedlings

Calbayog Water Co., Inc. (CBCI) one of the operating units of Manila Water in the Visayas region boosts the Calbayog Pan-as Hayiban Protected Landscape with the planting of hundreds of tree seedlings on more than a hectare of land adjacent to the protected area. In partnership with Calbayog City Water District (CCWD) and in coordination with the City Environment & Natural Resources Office (CENRO), the CBCI led the planting of 625 cacao and toog trees on 1.5 hectares of land in Barangay Manuel Barral Sr., Calbayog City.

Laguna Water’s laboratory receives seal of approval from DENR

Laguna Water’s laboratory is now certified by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) to analyze water -- including freshwater, groundwater, water for various uses, and wastewater samples. The scope of the certification includes testing the following parameters: chemical oxygen demand, fecal coliform, total coliform, true color, pH, settleable solids, temperature, total dissolved solids, and suspended solids.

Manila Water builds another water treatment plant at Laguna Lake to serve more Rizal towns

To fulfill its commitment of providing quality water service to the underserved areas in the East Zone, Manila Water is currently building the East Bay Water Treatment Plant (WTP) that will draw water from the eastern part of Laguna Lake, considered the cleanest portion of the lake. The East Bay WTP is part of the East Bay Water Supply System Project that seeks to expand Manila Water’s services to more towns in Rizal Province.

Manila Water rehabilitates its Liwasan ng Kagitingan at Kalikasan

Make-Over at the Park. Manila Water completes the rehabilitation of the Liwasan ng Kagitingan at Kalikasan-Taguig North Sewage Treatment Plant (LKK-Taguig North STP) Recreational Park. The make-over, which began in 2021, includes the restoration works of its landscaping and park vegetation, construction of a nature park and lagoon, installation of a pavilion fountain pump, and irrigation works.
