Manila Water engages top firms as contractors for the Aglipay Sewage Treatment Plant project

In its commitment to increase sewer coverage in Mandaluyong, San Juan, and Quezon City as part of its service obligation, Manila Water recently held a ceremonial contract signing with its partners for the construction of the Aglipay Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). The company partnered with two acknowledged experts in their respective fields, Suez Asia’s Water Asia Business and Megawide Construction Corporation, for process design and construction, respectively.

Manila Water to spend P115B more on sewerage—Marikina, Pasig want to fast-track projects

Manila Water will spend P115 billion more to complete its sewerage program by 2037. To date, Manila Water operates 38 STPs and 2 septage treatment plants with a total capacity of 310 MLD. "Since 1997 when we took over the East Zone, we have spent P38.5 billion on our wastewater programs from collections of only P36.9 billion. So, we have excess investments of P1.6 billion and we expect this trend to continue," said Manila Water Chief Operating Officer Abelardo P. Basilio.

Manila Water fast-tracks its sewer pipelaying in Pasig City

As part of the South Pasig Package 1B Sewer Network, pipelaying activities will be done along C. Raymundo Ave. from Guanio St. to Mercedes Ave. Pipelaying will be done from September 1, 2019 to January 15, 2020.     Works will be conducted 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for this entire duration. The Pasig City administration has requested that this segment be fast-tracked, to help alleviate traffic congestion in the area.

Manila Water completes its pipelaying and road restoration works in Manila East Road

Manila Water has completed its 11-kilometer long, 800 mm diameter pipelaying and road restoration works along Manila East Road traversing the towns of Taytay, Angono, and Binangonan. The completion of the project enables Manila Water to bring water supply from its Cardona Water Treatment Plant to these Rizal Province towns.
