Manila Water Foundation, the social development arm of East Zone concessionaire Manila Water Company, together with its partners: the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS), and the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office of Bulacan, handed over family toilets in Sitio Sapang Munti of Barangay San Mateo in Norzagaray, Bulacan.

East Zone concessionaire Manila Water maintains its system losses or non-revenue water (NRW) below 15% for the first six months of 2024, thanks in part to its quick leak response and methodical monitoring of its water network. 

Manila Water continues to remind its customers to avail of the Company’s desludging service offered to designated barangays each month. For September, Manila Water’s desludging caravan will go around sixty-four (64) barangays in the East Zone concession to providing septic tank siphoning at no additional cost.

In its bid to expand its water and wastewater services to the East Zone of Metro Manila and Rizal, Manila Water has successfully installed 14,125 new water connections and 4,172 new sewer accounts in the first half of 2024.

On its continued commitment to ensure water security and environmental protection, Manila Water kicked-off this year’s implementation of its multi-stakeholder tree planting program Pasibol with various reforestation activities in several watershed areas in the country.
