As part of Manila Water’s efforts to ensure reliable water service to its customers in Metro Manila, the company is currently constructing the P1.391-B Cayetano Pumping Station and Reservoir in Taguig City. The facility will help ensure uninterrupted water supply to over 1.6 million Manila Water customers in Pasig, Pateros, and Taguig. Set to be completed by September 2025, the facility will harness water from the company’s new water sources, namely the East Bay Water Supply tapping the eastern flank of Laguna Lake, and the Wawa-Calawis Water Supply System in Rizal.

Amid geopolitical tensions, the Manila Water Foundation rallies partners to offer beacons of hope for Palawan barangays including the Pag-asa Island through a donation handover event dubbed as Mga Alon ng Kalinga at Pag-asa (Waves of Care and Hope). During the partnership event, Manila Water President and CEO and MWF President, Jocot de Dios welcomed Civil Relations Service Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSRAFP) Commander Brigadier General Ramon Zagala, with MWSS Public Policy and Public Relations Department Head Christian Baluca sharing a message of support on behalf of MWSS Administrator Engineer Leonor Cleofas.

Manila Water, through its Non-East Zone subsidiary Boracay Water, proudly secures its second accolade for Energy Efficiency, winning at the 2023 Energy Efficiency Excellence Awards (EEE) from the Department of Energy (DOE).

The Bureau of Fire Protection - National Capital Region (BFP-NCR) recognized Manila Water as an Outstanding Partner for Fire Safety in the recently concluded  Fire Safety Awards in Quezon City. The award was in recognition of the company’s exceptional support and collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection-NCR in protecting lives and property. Also cited were the water company’s proactive efforts to improve emergency response and fire safety in the communities it serves.
