Manila Water units awarded ISO 9001:2015 certifications
As a reflection of Manila Water’s commitment towards continuous process improvement, two of the company’s core units recently obtained their respective ISO 9001:2015 certifications for their Quality Management System. This is an upgrade of the respective units’ existing ISO 9001:2008 certification. First to be awarded was the Strategic Asset Management Group (SAMG), followed by the Corporate Project Management Group (CPMG).
Manila Water undertakes major emergency leak repairs on large mainline along EDSA
Manila Water has set out to repair a leak on one of its mainlines running along EDSA, in light of the danger of damaging the roadway and even the tunnel wall of the EDSA-Shaw underpass, which may cause inconvenience to motorists and customers alike. The leak was detected at a 500mm steel pipe at the southbound lane just before the corner of Shaw Boulevard. The mainline has been laid around 30 years ago.
