As schools reopen next week, mostly in a face-to-face class set-up, Manila Water Company, through the Manila Water Foundation, continues to champion water access, sanitation, and hygiene or WASH in schools in its service areas through the Lingap Eskwela program.

East Zone concessionaire Manila Water has assured the public that there will be adequate supply to meet the water requirements as schools are slated to reopen on August 22. Despite the pandemic and the scorching heat this summer, Manila Water continues to provide 24/7 safe and reliable supply to more than 7 million customers in its concession area in Eastern Metro Manila and Rizal Province.

Earthquake-stricken towns in the province of Abra found relief over the weekend with the provision of clean water through the help of Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS), Manila Water Company, and Manila Water Foundation.

Manila Water encourages its customers in the East Zone to avail of the company’s desludging services to prevent clogging and overflow of their septic tanks as a way of contributing to the reduction of pollution of rivers, creeks and waterways.

To fulfill its commitment of providing quality water service to the underserved areas in the East Zone, Manila Water is currently building the East Bay Water Treatment Plant (WTP) that will draw water from the eastern part of Laguna Lake, considered the cleanest portion of the lake. The East Bay WTP is part of the East Bay Water Supply System Project that seeks to expand Manila Water’s services to more towns in Rizal Province.
