Manila Water executive appointed as first Filipino IWA board member
The International Water Association (IWA) has appointed Manila Water Philippine Ventures (MWPV) and Manila Water Asia Pacific (MWAP) President and CEO Virgilio C. Rivera, Jr., as non-executive member of the IWA Board of Directors for the period of 2018 to 2020. Rivera is the first Filipino to be appointed to the Board of the 60-year old organization.
Manila Water inks deal with Bulacan Water District
The consortium of Manila Water Company, Inc. and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Manila Water Philippine Ventures, signed a joint venture agreement with the Bulacan Water District for the design, construction, rehabilitation, maintenance, operation, financing, expansion and management of the water supply system and sanitation facilities of the water district.
Manila Water maintains double-digit net income growth in 1H2018
Manila Water continued its strong performance for the first half of 2018, achieving net income growth of 10 percent from the previous year to reach P3.55 billion. This was mainly driven by the Manila Concession, supported by the contribution of international subsidiaries under Manila Water Asia Pacific (MWAP).

Manila Water was among 10 publicly listed firms, of which eight are from the Ayala group, named as Top Performing Companies under the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard in 2017.
MWSS approves Q3 FCDA effective July 1
The Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) has approved the third-quarter Foreign Currency Differential Adjustment (FCDA) of 6.20% of the basic charge, equivalent to P1.58 per cubic meter, effective July 1, 2018.
