More than 200k households benefited from Manila Water’s desludging services in 2019

East Zone concessionaire Manila Water has emptied and cleaned a total of 117,441 septic vaults for the period covering January to December of 2019 as part of its commitment to promote community hygiene and sanitation through the company’s various wastewater programs. For the month of November 2019 alone, the company has desludged 17,638 septic tanks benefitting 27,186 households compared to 14,150 septic tanks in December which benefitted an equivalent of 19,591 households. These bring the number of desludging beneficiaries to more than 212,125 households in 2019.

Razon-led infrastructure company invests ₱10.7 billion in Manila Water

Prime Metroline Holdings Inc., on behalf of a company to be incorporated, signed with Manila Water a Subscription Agreement for the acquisition of 820 Mn common shares of Manila Water which represents a 25% stake in the Company at a price of Php13/share. The entry of Prime, which is led by businessman Enrique Razon Jr., as a strategic investor to Manila Water is expected to bolster Manila Water’s ability to provide reliable, efficient and sustainable water and wastewater services in the East Zone and at the same time pursue growth initiatives both domestically and globally. The Razon group brings with it its expansive global reach and business expertise; with operations in Asia Pacific, Latin America, Middle East and Africa, to Manila Water.

Manila Water announces desludging schedule for Q1 of 2020

East Zone concessionaire Manila Water announces its desludging schedule for the first quarter of this year as it encouraged its customers to avail of the services to prevent clogging of their septic vaults as well as to maintain the cleanliness of waterways, creeks and rivers to avoid the overflowing of untreated wastewater.

Manila Water relentlessly brings much-needed water to towns affected by Taal eruption

After their initial deployment last January 13, water tankers from Manila Water and its operating unit, Laguna Water, continue to provide much-needed water to those affected by the eruption of Taal Volcano, also with help from its other operating unit, South Luzon Water. The tankers readily visited evacuation areas in Tanauan City, Batangas City, Sto. Tomas, San Luis, and Taal in Batangas Province as well as in Alfonso, Cavite. They were also able to deliver water to evacuation centers in Lipa, Calaca, Bauan, Alitagtag, and Nasugbu in Batangas; Cabuyao, Sta. Rosa, and Binan in Laguna, as well as Tagaytay City.
