Manila Water to exclude FCDA from water charges

Beginning November 18, 2021, the Foreign Currency Differential Adjustment (FCDA) will no longer be applied to water rates of Manila Water customers. This is also the effectivity date of the Revised Concession Agreement (RCA) of the Government with the East Zone Concessionaire. The RCA stipulates the exclusion of FCDA from charges billed to customers. Currently, the effective FCDA is 0.84% of the basic charge or equivalent to Php0.24. From November 18 onwards, this will revert to zero (0). The total weighted average tariff including VAT will decrease by Php0.32 to Php 38.33 per cubic meter.

Manila Water will undertake maintenance activities at Angono Bridge, Manila East Road, Brgy. San Roque and San Isidro, Angono, Rizal. Manila Water will undertake maintenance activities along Shaw Blvd. near corner Ideal St. in front of Nissan Shaw, Brgy. Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City. This will result in temporary water service interruption affecting more than 38,000 households, commercial and business establishments in fourteen (14) barangays in Mandaluyong and San Juan cities beginning Monday, September 20, 2021 at 11:00 PM until 5:00 AM, Tuesday, September 21, 2021.

In a bid to ensure customer safety during this pandemic, Manila Water is urging its customers in eastern Metro Manila and Rizal Province to use the company’s latest mobile application Manila Water App to access their bills and pay online anytime anywhere. Manila Water East Zone Business Operations Group Director Esmeralda Quines said that the company is pleased to introduce this one-stop-shop application which is now downloadable via Android smartphones thru Manila Water’s  website: (https://www.manilawater.com/customer/manila-water-app). Quines also shared that the Manila Water App is the best way to transact and stay up-to-date with Manila Water, especially during these challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
