Manila Water’s TPSB serves nearly 2M Filipinos from low-income communities

Manila Water Company reported that its social flagship program, Tubig Para sa Barangay (TPSB), has now reached nearly two million people from marginalized communities across the east zone of Metro Manila. Aiming to provide sustainable water to the urban poor, TPSB completed more than 800 projects which resulted in supplying clean, potable water to 1.8 million Filipinos living in some of the poorest communities in the east zone area.

Manila Water Foundation and Safeguard strengthen hygiene practice in schools with 285 handwashing facilities in NCR and Rizal schools

As in-person classes resume, the need to ensure the health and safety of learners and teachers is more crucial now than ever. Through its collaboration project #SafeWASH in Schools, Manila Water Foundation and P&G’s Safeguard Philippines aim to strengthen efforts to promote a safe and conducive learning environment. This entails the construction of 10-faucet, foot-pedal-operated hygiene facilities, distribution of hygiene supplies, provision of info-education materials, and conduct of hygiene education sessions.

Manila Water reports lower NRW level, among the lowest in the whole of Asia

Manila Water remains committed to maintain its non-revenue water (NRW) after reporting an average NRW level of 12%, as of March 2022. This level of NRW is unprecedented in the history of the Philippine water sector and is among the lowest in the whole of Asia. The standard NRW rate, as recommended by World Bank, is 25% or lower.
