Manila Water releases its March desludging schedule for barangays. Full or not, the company advises its customers to have their septic vaults siphoned every five years to prevent overflow, which could be hazardous to community health.

Manila Water is releasing its March desludging schedule and encouraging more customers to avail of its septic tank siphoning service at no additional cost.

In March, the water concessionaire will be rolling out its desludging trucks to Barangays 763, 768, 771, 779, 805, and 807 in the City of Manila; Bel Air, San Lorenzo, and Pio del Pilar in Makati City; and barangays Pag-asa, Bagong Silang, and Harapin ang Bukas in Mandaluyong City.

Customers in Quezon City can also expect the desludging service in March in barangays Bahay Toro, Botocan, Malaya, Mariana, Socorro, West Crame, and Vasra as well as in Barangay Manggahan in Pasig City and barangays Ligid Tipas and Pinagsama in Taguig City.

Up east of Metro Manila, Rizal customers in barangays Burgos in Montalban (Rodriguez), San Juan in Taytay, San Vicente in Angono, and San Jose and Cupang in Antipolo City should also prep their septic tanks as desludging tanks will be arriving in March.

Moreover, the company regularly campaigns and promotes awareness of the service to protect community health and the environment.

“We are encouraging our customers to take advantage of the siphoning services Manila Water is offering. This will prevent overflow in your households and help in minimizing water pollution,” Corporate Communications Affairs Group Director Jeric Sevilla said.

Septage collected from septic tanks undergoes the proper treatment process in Manila Water’s septage treatment plants before being released to waterways. This helps ensure the ecological balance of bodies of water.

To inquire about the schedule, customers are advised to coordinate with their barangay offices or call Manila Water’s Customer Help Desk at 1627.
