Manila Water posted a net income growth of 3 percent for the 1st semester of 2017, supported by revenue expansion of 4 percent largely bolstered by its non-Manila concession businesses.

The Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) approved a 1.12% increase or a 28-centavo per cubic meter increase in the Foreign Currency Differential Adjustment (FCDA) for the third quarter of this year for East Zone concessionaire Manila Water Company.

Manila Water has successfully completed the replacement and relocation of a one-meter diameter mainline located at the Parian Creek in Barangay Kapasigan in Pasig City. The said mainline is part of the PG6 and Almeda transmission line that supplies water to barangays at the southeast end of the concession area, considered farthest from the Balara Treatment Plant. The mainline at this portion provides clean potable water to over 80,000 households in the cities of Pasig and Taguig and the municipality of Pateros.

Ayala-led water and used water provider Manila Water has been a staunch supporter of the Department of Education’s Oplan Brigada Eskwela which formally kicked off last May 15.
