Manila Water plants 1.4M trees under its watershed protection and management program

Since the launch of East Zone concessionaire Manila Water’s watershed management program in 2006, Manila Water has partnered with the public and private sector, such as the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System, various local government units, indigenous people residing in watershed communities, and other stakeholders for the implementation of its watershed management program.

Manila Water posts Php5.9-B Net Income in 2022

Manila Water posted consolidated earnings of ₱5.9 billion for the full year of 2022. Customer demand showed notable recovery with the improved mobility and resumption of economic activities in its service areas. This was shown by the resurgence of its non-residential segments in the East Zone and performance from several of the domestic Non-East Zone businesses. The recognition of several key items such as the writeback of deferred forex losses and reduction of accounting provisions at the East Zone Concession, further lent upward impact to net income for the year.

Manila Water’s Tubig Para sa Barangay continues to expand services to marginalized communities in the East Zone

Manila Water’s social flagship program Tubig Para sa Barangay (TPSB) continues to provide service improvements to 1.8 million Filipinos in urban poor communities in the East Zone of Metro Manila. The program, which aims to provide sustainable water to low-income households, racked up a total of 899 projects since its launch in 1998. In 2022 alone, TPSB completed 29 projects with 826 new water connections which are now providing clean and potable water to 1,222 households.

Damosa Land champions sustainable water operations through partnership with Manila Water

Damosa Land Inc. (DLI), a trailblazer for sustainable real estate, signed a 25-year partnership with Manila Water Philippine Ventures, Inc. (MWPV) to develop and manage additional water facilities for Anflo Industrial Estate (AIE). MWPV will be investing at least PHP 150 million for the development, financing, construction, operation, and management of the water system of AIE. This sustainable solution to the overall business operations of DLI aligns with their vision for efficient water usage to reduce costs despite increased demand.
