With the implementation of Enhanced Community Quarantine in Metro Manila and adjacent provinces, East Zone concessionaire Manila Water continues to develop ways to engage its 7 million customers to address their billing inquiries and other service-related concerns, the latest of which is receiving messages via text regarding their outstanding balances and other company advisories.

“Customers simply need to subscribe or register, and they will automatically receive their outstanding bill every month, as well as other company advisories,” says Jeric Sevilla, Manila Water’s Group Head for Corporate Strategic Affairs.

Using their mobile phones, Manila Water customers can register by sending the following via text:

MW <space> REG <space> CAN <space> Last 8 digits of Contract Account Number <space> Last 5 digits of Meter Number and send to 225600.

Example: MW REG CAN 12345678 34510

“Registration and text alerts are FREE of charge for Manila Water customers,” added Sevilla.

Earlier, Manila Water has also launched a bill inquiry system through SMS for faster and easier ways to get their current water bills.

Manila Water is the private concessionaire of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) that provides water and wastewater services to about 7 million residents of eastern Metro Manila, including Rizal province.
