Manila Water (Thailand) Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Manila Water Company, Inc., through Manila Water Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., signed a THB5.30 billion, 5-year term loan facility with Mizuho Bank, Ltd. – Bangkok Branch and Bank of Ayudhya Public Company Limited to take out the previous bridge loan used to finance the acquisition of an 18.72% equity stake in Eastern Water Resources Development and Management Public Company Limited.

Manila Water Company, Inc. (“Manila Water”) has successfully completed its acquisition of a significant stake in Eastern Water Resources Development and Management Public Company Limited (“East Water”), a publicly-listed water supply and distribution company in Thailand. 

Manila Water continues to make its presence felt in the ASEAN region after it signed a Share Purchase Agreement to acquire an 18.72% stake in Eastern Water Resources Development and Management Public Company Limited (“East Water”), a publicly-listed water supply and distribution company in Thailand.  This is Manila Water’s first point of entry into Thailand as part of the company’s ongoing expansion in Southeast Asia.
