Clark Water Corporation has renewed its ISO certifications, taking it up a notch this year by securing the new version of the three standards – ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System, and re-certification of BS OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Safety and Health Management System. Clark Water is the only subsidiary of Manila Water to be certified on the three Quality, Environment, Health and Safety (QEHS) standards.

The positive findings noted in the certification assessment were the maintenance of environmental compliance with zero violation against regulatory agency requirements; improvement of the laboratory facility; creation of master list database of all documented information; zero reported chlorine leak accidents; zero incidence on occupational health and safety performance; and numerous awards and recognitions received in 2017 and in early 2018. The certification was facilitated by TÜV Rheinland Philippines, Inc.

The latest version of ISO 9001 addresses organizational risks and opportunities in a structured manner and puts greater emphasis on leadership engagement. This new standard is also more user-friendly for service organizations like Clark Water. ISO 14001, on the other hand, focuses more on improving company performance through proper managing of resources and environmental impacts of the company. Meanwhile, BS OHSAS 18001 puts in place policies, procedures and controls to provide the best possible working conditions in an organization.

Clark Water has consistently and continuously committed to become environmentally responsible and improve safety management and customer satisfaction.
