Boracay Water, a subsidiary of Manila Water Philippine Ventures and a concessionaire of Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), will be investing P291-M to intensify water and wastewater service improvement in Boracay Island and ensure compliance to its regulatory Service Obligations.

Boracay Island Water Company (BIWC), one of the operating units of Manila Water in the Visayas region, takes part in investing in the planet through its Coral REEFhabilitation Program. In partnership with Malay LGU, Boracay Foundation, Inc. and Boracay Business Scuba Diving Schools, the company is involved in coral reef planting and assessment, beach and underwater cleanup, and running educational campaigns. To date, the Coral REEFhabilitation Program has planted 121 corals and collected 501 kilograms of underwater garbage.

Boracay Water, a public-private partnership between the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) and Manila Water’s fully owned subsidiary, Manila Water Philippine Ventures, recently marked twelve years of providing reliable water supply and wastewater services to the country’s top tourist destination after investing more than PhP 4.32 billion in various infrastructure facilities.

Boracay Island Water Company (Boracay Water) announced its readiness to accept sewer connections, following the latest Memorandum Order released by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), which directed hotels, resort, and similar establishments to connect to island’s concessionaires, in preparation for the Island’s scheduled re-opening in October.

Boracay Island Water Company, Inc. (Boracay Water), the largest water supply and wastewater management services provider in Boracay, continues to accelerate its used water masterplan which has been approved by the Tourism Infrastructure Enterprise Zone Authority in 2017, along with rendering efforts in support of the drainage system rehabilitation to assist the multi-agency task force led by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) responsible for leading the rehabilitation in the Island.
