With 2 million customers from marginalized communities now enjoying 24/7 water supply under its flagship program Tubig Para Sa Barangay or Water for the Community, Manila Water has endeavored to ensure that the same uninterrupted supply will be available to public service institutions commonly patronized by low-income families under its various Lingap or We Care programs.

East Zone concessionaire Manila Water announces its desludging schedule for the month of November as it encouraged its customers to avail of the services to prevent clogging and overflowing of their septic vaults as well as to help reduce untreated wastewater in waterways, creeks and rivers.

Launched in 1998, the program ‘Tubig Para Sa Barangay’ (TPSB) or Water for the Community continues to remain as Manila Water’s flagship program which is designed to provide access to safe and reliable water supply to urban poor communities in eastern Metro Manila and Rizal Province. To date, Manila Water has completed more than 750 TPSB projects benefiting close to 2 million customers from marginalized communities including informal settlers and low-income households.

Manila Water Foundation (MWF) launches its fourth Integrated WASH community program in a Dumagat community at Norzagaray, Bulacan. This is in time for important observances in the month of October: Global Handwashing Day, the National Indigenous Peoples Month and the 25th year of the enactment of the Indigenous Peoples’ Rights Act or the IPRA Law.
