Manila Water Foundation and partners open the taps for clean, potable water to flow for IP community

Manila Water Foundation, together with its institutional partners, Manila Water Company (MWC), Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS), and One Meralco Foundation (OMF), recently inaugurated a water treatment facility with a chlorinator and sand filter for a Dumagat community. The facility will produce clean potable water to be stored in the five- water-tank reservoir over a 3-kilometer water line, and 17 watering points in Sitio Sapang Munti in Norzagaray, Bulacan.

Manila Water employee insurance to provide benefits to LGBTQI+, common-law partners

As part of its commitment towards inclusivity, gender equality, and employee benefit accessibility, Manila Water will now include common-law and LGBTQI+ partners of their employees as dependents in the company’s group life insurance policy effective 1 January 2023. The policy covers regular, probationary, and project-based employees.

Manila Water Foundation, partners launch Hand Hygiene Alliance Philippines, calls for Clean Hands for Christmas

Manila Water Foundation joins Hand Hygiene Alliance Philippines (HAP!), a business sector-led group, in presenting an early gift to Filipinos by pledging its commitment to support sustainable hand hygiene programs in schools, community and workplace settings during its launch entitled “Clean Hands for Christmas” last December 16.  A panel conversation highlighted the importance of hand hygiene in schools and communities. The launch is a timely reminder to all as the holidays are marked with eating together, traveling, parties and get-togethers amid an ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Manila Water receives Management Level ratings for climate change and water security disclosures

Manila Water received a Management B rating for its 2022 CDP Climate Change and Water Security Disclosures, improving its Climate Change rating from Awareness level (C) to Management level (B) while maintaining the management level rating in Water Security. CDP, formerly Carbon Disclosure Project, aims to make environmental reporting and risk management a business norm, driving disclosure, insight, and action toward a sustainable economy.
