Manila Water provides many opportunities for volunteerism in its line of business. As the spirit of volunteerism is high among the employees, the Company provides venues where employees can share their time and energy to pursuits which will tangibly affect the lives of the people especially those living in marginalized communities.

The Company’s sustainable development initiatives are anchored on corporate volunteerism. We believe that programs which allow employees to volunteer their services augur well for the company besides giving the employees the fulfillment of being instrumental in the building and growth of communities.

Children's Hour Philippines honors Manila Water

Manila Water Company, the concessionaire of the east zone of Metro Manila, has been feted as one of the top donors to the Children’s Hour Fund for the fiscal year 2005-2006. Just recently, Children’s Hour and Manila Water partnered for the completion of a six-month feeding program for more than 60 Grade 1 pupils of the Balara Elementary School in Quezon City.

TIP visits Manila Water

Members of the faculty of the College of Engineering and Architecture of the Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP) in Quezon City and Manila, led by Vice President for Human Resources Ramon de Leon, visited the various facilities of Manila Water starting off at the La Mesa Dam to the filtration plant and pumping station in Balara all the way to the University of the Philippines Sewage Treatment Plant.
