Residents of Calumpang in Marikina City bore witness to Manila Water’s strengthened efforts in providing wastewater services through the ongoing Sanitasyon Para Sa Barangay (SPSB) activity held this month.

Spearheaded by Territory Business Manager Josette Quitilen, Supply Zone Manager Jun Estandarte and Wastewater Coordinator Fernando Garcia, the SPSB took off with a motorcade promoting the free desludging service while highlighting Manila Water’s desludging tanker.
The motorcade around the barangay’s major thoroughfares aimed to educate and raise awareness about Manila Water’s wastewater programs as well as informing residents to coordinate with their barangay to avail of the service. Barangay Captain Mario de Leon’s strong presence and relentless support throughout the program indicated the strong tripartite partnership between Manila Water, the barangay officials and the customers. Potential beneficiaries of the desludging program in Calumpang total to more than 3,000 households.
