Pasig City confers environmental award to Manila Water

In a landmark launching of Pasig City as a Green City, Mayor Bobby Eusebio conferred the Best Corporate Social Responsibility for the Environment Award to Manila Water in recognition of the latter’s initiatives to promote a healthy, safe and clean environment through its massive efforts on sanitation and wastewater treatment.

Manila Water has been cited for its many programs to protect the environment foremost of which include its Sanitasyon Para Sa Barangay and wastewater treatment programs.

Manila Water has been cited also for pioneering the effort of building the country’s first-ever combined sewerage and drainage system in Barangays Pineda and Kapitolyo which will be able to treat wastewater up to 4,000 cubic meters per day before discharging them to water bodies.
