Manila Water laying new pipelines for Rodriguez

Posted: Tuesday September 16, 2008

Manila Water is currently laying more pipelines to expand the distribution system and enable more water to reach the farthest areas of Rodriguez, Rizal.

The project, being built at a cost of P82 M, covers the construction of a new reservoir, pump system and primary lines.

Targeted for completion by December this year, the new system will eliminate the dependency of most subdivisions to deepwells as water supply source. The project will also further increase supply coverage to 70 percent for the area.

Manila Water is also rushing the completion of the project to secure the safety and reliability of the water supply system for hundreds of household customers and eliminate health risk issues that currently threatens most residences.

Manila Water has earmarked P 7 Billion per annum for its capital expenditure to boost its infrastructure program.
