Manila Water joins Makati in climate change seminar

As a staunch environmental advocate, Makati City hosted a seminar on climate change conducted by D. Nathaniel Cruz, Weather Services Chief of PAGASA. The seminar which focused on the detrimental effects of not only global warming but those brought about by abnormal changes of the atmospheric condition of our climate.

The seminar was attended by different groups, from both the public and private sectors with Manila Water as a very active participant. Manila Water, just like the city of Makati has been pushing forth a number of environmental initiatives to help save the environment. Among the environmental advocacies both institutions share include wastewater management, groundwater protection, watershed management and various climate change initiatives.
