Manila Water conducts relief operations in Bustos and Pulilan towns in Bulacan

Manila Water, the East Zone concessionaire of MWSS extended relief assistance to eight barangays in Bustos and Pulilan towns, both in Bulacan, in the wake of floods caused by Typhoons Chedeng and Dodong.

Mayor Toti Reyes of Bustos and Mayor Enteng Esguerra of Pulilan met the volunteers of Manila Water’s Sagip Buhay Responder Team and the 503rd Water Battalion. More than 700 affected families were given relief goods. A water tanker was also stationed to provide the much-needed potable water for the families.

Earlier, Manila Water Regulation and Group Director Virgilio C. Rivera, Jr. met with Bulacan Governor Jonjon Mendoza to work out a relief plan for the flood victims. Manila Water also clarified that the floods were not caused by the overflowing of Ipo Dam at the height of the rains as erroneously reported.
